When does the radio station broadcast?
We currently broadcast live every week Friday - Sunday.
Show times vary. Check our programme or follow us on social media for weekly updates.
Can I listen on FM/DAB?
We are an internet radio station. We don't stream locally via FM/DAB, but globally via the web.
What kind of music do you play?
Our platform is as eclectic as possible.
We're home to a wide variety of DJs/presenters from Afrobeat archivists to alt-jazz collectors, experimental orchestras, reggae evangelists, abstract electronic noise-makers, poets, bi-naural sound experts and beyond.
We have regular listenership in 40+ countries around the world, and our aim is to expose as many of those people as possible to interesting sounds and musicianship, old and new, that they're less likely to discover via mainstream radio platforms.
You can find out more about resident shows in our programme listings.
Our radio station has a built-in cafe/bar overlooking the ocean. You can pop in for a coffee or cocktail while watching the radio shows go out live.
Our cafe is open Wednesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm, serving Climpson & Sons coffee, Burrows & Brooks teas, fresh smoothies, granola bowls and eats from local favourites Cyril's sandwiches, Batchelor's patisserie, Sugar Ray's vegan bakery and Modern Provider.
Fridays and Saturdays we stay open 'til midnight serving drinks and cocktails while watching the sun set over the North sea.
On Saturday mornings we run an extended brunch menu alongside a Sourdough market from 10am - 4pm, in partnership with Modern Provider.
Be aware, on gig nights we close the cafe at 4pm for soundcheck.
When's the next gig?
We have a carefully curated concert programme. These ad-hoc nights are an opportunity to hear some of the most adventurous musicianship in the country in an intimate setting beside the sea.

Where can I buy tickets for gigs?
We sell advance tickets online via our website / Eventbrite, but you can also book in person at the station during opening hours. Tickets cost more on the door, on the night.
What time does the concert start?
Gigs start 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes after doors open. Most concerts are finished by 11pm but our bar stays open until midnight.
Please note that each live gig has a clearly stated last entry time. If you arrive after that point, you may be refused entry.
Is the venue seated?
Our shows have a mix of seating and standing areas. Seats are limited and go on a first come first serve basis. We recommend arriving early for the best chance of getting a seat.
Can I reserve a seat?
If standing for long periods is not physically possible for you we can reserve you a seat. Email email@example.com at least 48 hours in advance of the show.
The venue has step-free access. We offer '2 for 1' tickets for carers attending with disabled customers and are more than happy to reserve space for wheelchairs.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your purchase confirmation to make a reservation.
Please be advised that our toilets, whilst on ground level, are not accessible for wheelchair users.
Do you keep tickets available for the door?
We usually have a few tickets available on the door on the night. Arrive when doors open to avoid disappointment.
I can no longer attend a show I bought tickets for. Can I get a refund?
We're happy to refund tickets when given 3 days notice prior to a performance. This gives us time to re-sell your tickets. Those bought via external promoters (Eventbrite etc.) need to request refunds via said platforms. Online booking fees are often non-refundable.
Is it OK for me to record/film/take pictures etc?
Photos without flash are fine. Please check with us first before filming or recording concerts so we can get performers approval. If performers ask not to be photographed, notices will be displayed.
What equipment do you have?
Musicians can find our full back line equipment list here.
We are child/baby friendly with changing facilities, a wide range of children's books and toys and comfy sofas.
Is the radio station for hire?
Yes. We'll gladly help host your special event. We’ve hosted book launches, art exhibitions, podcast recordings, book groups, panel discussions, community meetings, birthdays, weddings etc.
Price varies according to your needs - timings/capacity/need for privacy/format/tech requirements etc. and how much it will cost us to accommodate.
